You see, without these technicalities really nobody can help you. These are just very general pieces of advise, but you haven't stated at all whether your game is modded, what tools you're using, if you run it on Win7, 8 or even 10, or if you're trying to run the game on an age old potato.
Originally posted by Sam:FNV needs a lot of tweaking, simply installing an anti crash mod won't suffice. Use FOMM or NMM (I prefer FOMM) in order to download and manage your mods. Is your PC able to handle the game? Have you updated your drivers (however, I don't think this will help with FNV)? Is your computer overheating? In addition, it can also be a hardware problem. Are you using high-res mods? Disable them. Antialiasing and anisotropic filtering are also pretty demanding: reduce them or turn them off.
If you still have crashes or slow downs, reduce graphic details and textures. If you use mods such as IWS or FCO, turn them off as they're pretty heavy on your machine. Here's the link to Configator:īefore using these tools you should backup your ini files. Then try tweaking your ini files either manually or with a tool such as Configator or BethIni.
There are also tutorials (such as Gopher's) on how to tweak your game (every single time I did what he prescribed or installed one of his mods I ruined my game, but others praise him very much). As a next step, go to Nexus and peruse the tech forums there. You'll also learn about long known issues the game has and how you can deal with them. You'll find enough information about Stutter Remover, ENB Boost and other tweaks here. FNV needs a lot of tweaking, simply installing an anti crash mod won't suffice.
